Advisor Consumer Analytics

Our Customer Experience Insights team is responsible for representing customer data and customer voice in a wide range of strategic and tactical decisions.  Working with colleagues across Sales & Marketing, we’ll call on your expertise to support the future of our Petro-Points loyalty program, our convenience retailing, fuel and car wash business, email communications, offers, promotions and more.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Support data analytics, visualization and dashboards
  • Provide key insights in support of the 4.3M member Petro-Points loyalty program and other key lines of business
  • Support CX Insights email enablement, including responsibility for list segmentation, extracting email lists, quality control, and scorecarding for over 30 million guest email contacts annually 
  • Consult with business owners and leadership teams on email strategy, tactics and data analytics requirements

We’d like to review your application if you have…

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Four years of experience in data analytics
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, computer science or equivalent field 
  • Programming knowledge and experience using SAS / SQL or similar query and business intelligence tools
  • Demonstrated expertise in database analytics principles and practices
  • An understanding of data visualization, including dashboards and scorecards
  • Alignment with our values: safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrity

Preference for:

  • Experience with data visualization dashboards (MS Power BI preferred, Tableau, DOMO)
  • Experience in email marketing and loyalty program strategy, tactics, and metrics
  • Experience focused on consumer behaviour

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • We require qualified and safety-focused employees for business-critical roles that maintain our commitment to operational excellence and reliable operations.
