Reporting to the team lead, employee centre, you will provide human resources (HR) support to employee/retirees across Suncor on a variety of HR policies, programs and procedures, such as pay, benefits, pension and compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR information and timely resolution to employees and HR partners inquiries via e-mail and telephone
  • Initiate transactional and customer service support by using SAP and other online tools in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Utilize a customer relationship management ticketing system to track all inquiries and transactions
  • Identify gaps in internal processes, procedures and documentation and recommend process improvements
  • Participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities as well as special projects or initiatives
  • Act as an internal Subject Matter Expert on  HR programs, tools or cycles
  • Refer external and internal inquiries to appropriate stakeholders as required

    Qualifications

    Experience & Education

  • Three or more years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in human resources or equivalent education
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Bilingual capability (French and English) is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Strong proficiency in SAP, Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to resolve inquiries in an effective and timely manner while managing competing priorities and deadlines in a high-paced, operational environment
  • Problem solver with critical thinking and  management skills including an aptitude to adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic and complex organization
  • Highly motivated to to work in an open, team environment, employing a collaborative, continuous improvement mindset

Working Conditions

  • This position will be based in Calgary at the Suncor Energy Centre
  • Some shift work during regular business hours is required.
  • Successful candidates will participate in a 3-month training program upon hire
