Alcohol and Drug Program Advisor

In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your experience and organizational skills to coordinate the alcohol and drug (A&D) testing program, including scheduling, employee notification, testing results management and database management and analytics.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Coordinate the random A&D testing program
  • Schedule and coordinate random and follow-up A&D testing
  • Validate designation of employees in safety sensitive positions
  • Manage testing results and database for data analysis and reporting
  • Oversee external testing providers for quality assurance purposes
  • Identify appropriate collection, use and, disclosure of personal health information
  • Support continuous improvement opportunities in the testing program

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Previous business analyst experience with proven analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to analyze, organize, and draw insights, trends, and patterns from large disparate data sources
  • A bachelor’s degree or two-year diploma in science-based Occupational Health or related field
  • Knowledge in workplace A&D testing practices and legislation
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail with advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite
  • A continuous improvement mindset with strong analytical and decision-making capacity
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to collaborate and build positive relationships
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in A&D testing program management
  • A designation or training in A&D testing program management
  • Working knowledge of Cority and eManda system

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
