You will use your expertise to:

  • Support the administration and development of a robust esri ArcGIS Enterprise, Safe Software FME and Latitude Geographics GeoCortex Essentials technology environment
  • Effectively manage enterprise geodatabases including ArcSDE for SQL and ArcSDE for Oracle
  • Liaise with external and internal stakeholders including GIS professionals, business clients and vendors
  • Ability to interpret requirements and offer technical suggestions to improve products
  • Translate technical GIS detail into a form that is relatable to business clients
  • Provide timely technical support to ensure GIS technology is used effectively across the organization
  • Deliver multiple  projects simultaneously on tight deadlines while maintaining a high levels of quality

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Five or more years of experience using GIS with a proven track record  developing solutions  within Esri ArcGIS Enterprise including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Image Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online and Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS.
  • Proven development experience with Safe Software’s FME desktop and Server solutions
  • Programming skills with Python, JavaScript, and Application Programming Interfaces (API’s)
  • Proven experience in administering databases in SQL, Oracle and/or Sap Hana
  • Knowledge of GIS technical skills, concepts and terminology including map projections, coordinate systems and datum transformations
  • Experience in delivering solutions in an Agile Scrum team
  • Bachelor degree or diploma in GIS or Geography, Earth or Social Science background complimented with Computer Science degree

Preference for:

  • Development experience in Latitude Geographics software including Geocortex Essentials and Workflow designer
  • Experience working with integrating GIS with Business Analytics software, such as SAP Lumira, Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
  • Oil and gas or mining industry experience
  • Strong discipline in delivering solutions that follow corporate technical standards and procedures
  • An analytical mindset with strong interpersonal skills

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
