Job Overview

Are you passionate about quality management and looking for a dynamic new career opportunity? Reporting to the senior advisor, quality management, you will be responsible for to perform tactical activities and provide support to the quality management (QM) workload.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the Suncor intranet quality management maintenance including update, revision control and new content uploading and permissions
  • Compiling and update of technically approved vendors (TAV) list (existing and new) and maintaining our management folder structure
  • Maintain the TAV list including revisions and updates
  •  Monthly metrics report collection and data compiling from third party inspection companies while maintaining issue log and status update
  • Maintain quality management community of practice collaboration site, action log, and standard methodologies
  • Support QM initiatives, work practices, templates and guideline development
  • Data collection, analysis and report generation for QM activities from business units and functions
  • Prepare the audit reports and maintenance of supplier audit and surveillance program

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • 2 or more years of industry related experience with QM
  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, metallurgical or chemical engineering
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills necessary in a matrixed organizational environment
  • Strong communication skills for the preparation of quality standards
  • Deep understanding of quality assurance, quality control and source surveillance activities
  • Able to develop spreadsheets, maintenance of QM activities, tools, collaboration site
  • Proficient with desktop applications and databases
