Analyst SAP S/4HANA

Our Digital Solutions Team is growing and we are looking for an experienced S4 Analyst to lead and participate in business related activities to address day to day business process issues, support change initiatives and software upgrades, and participate in major system upgrade projects. In this position you will be providing business process expertise to proactively identify and improve areas and working together with the Business to explore optimum solutions.  You will have the opportunity to provide coaching and training to trainers, super users, and end-users as required developing and enhancing their hands-on system skills.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Partner with peers in all D&IT Teams and 3rd party vendors related to the improvement and sustainment of complex business processes.
  • Maintain security and role mapping
  • Deliver user competency training and materials to perform business process activities as required.
  • Facilitate the continuous improvement of this specific business area, and have an understanding of industry best practices and how to enable functionality of the information technology available.
  • Actively participate in process improvements and leveraging system functionality to affect the success of strategic business implementations
  • Continuously improve business processes in the specific business area, resulting in an end-to-end reduction in operating costs
  • Provide coaching and training to trainers, super users, and end-users as required developing and enhancing their hands-on system skills.

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • 5 years plus related experience with Functional proficiency in product-to-cash along with understanding of SAP Security
  • Strong knowledge of one or more business process areas like pricing, taxes, billing, and IS-Oil (RFNO, TSW, EXG) gained through past S4 implementation projects experience
  • Good knowledge of integrated business processes and strategic and tactical direction for a major sub-stream (Marketing, Supply & Distribution) of the Refining & Marketing functional area

Preference for:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Computer Science/Engineering and/or Business Management
  • Strong technical background in system, application/data integrations
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them to digital solutions
  • Problem solving and thinking skills to be able to perform solutions analysis, dealing with conflicting data and guidelines
  • Project delivery mindset - setting the priorities, stakeholder and budget management
  • Good communication, team & inter-personal skills
  • Ability to Organize and lead efforts
  • Oil and Gas Business Knowledge an asset but not required
