Logistics Specialist, Drilling and Completions

Why you should join us:

Reporting to the Director of Logistics for Drilling, Completions, Logistics and Land (DCLL) you will be responsible for the coordination of front-end DCLL logistics program regulatory applications including scope acquisition, 3D scouts, survey, schedules and project setup.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Work with the Logistics Director and Superintendents on department initiatives for Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), cost savings and contractor management
  • Work with the Logistics field supervisors on training, procedures, cost control and completion of various forms
  • Provide project management support by setting up and stewarding to multiple project schedules and costs
  • Manage all purchase orders from requisition to close out
  • Provide Siteview administration to build projects, add cost estimates, EH&S tracking
  • Provide project scope acquisition and coordination for the 3D scout process
  • Work directly with Surface Land on regulatory applications and approvals
  • Work with surveyors to produce quality mapping and survey plans

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Five years’ experience in logistics support of drilling and completions operations
  • Deep knowledge on the directives and guidelines of the AER/AEP
  • An exceptional continuous improvement mindset and you are able to seek greater knowledge and understanding of the systems, processes and hazards in the workplace
  • Superior collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • Experience with Siteview, SAP and LiveLink
  • Certificate, diploma or degree in Finance/Accounting, Petroleum Land Administration (PLA) or Land Agent

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
