Job Overview

Reporting to the director of enterprise business intelligence and analytics, you will be responsible for the development, prioritization, and delivery of enterprise services, including self-service analytics, visualization, modeling and business intelligence (BI).  You will play a vital role introducing and evolving our analytics service to the organization.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the enterprise analytic services and establish our enterprise standards, guidelines and methodologies for development of analytic solutions, visualization and data marts
  • Refine, develop and implement new enterprise analytic services and maintain and support analytic processes across the organization
  • Develop and manage the enterprise analytic road map for upstream, downstream and corporate functions
  • Design and develop advanced analytic development processes and guidelines
  • Improve analytic services quality, data availability and performance across platforms through enhanced people and processes
  • Provide direction and guidance on the management of end user interaction with analytic services
  • Establish team targets and monitor outputs of direct reports to consistently meet monthly and quarterly goals
  • Ensure that services meet expectations for quality, timeliness and cost-effectiveness, and ensure the enablement of consistent data maintenance practices and distribution of all analytics marketplace data
  • Manage and grow our internal analytics community of practice and the internal centre of excellence
  • Lead and provide mentorship to the team to ensure they meet their operational and development goals

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Eight to 10 years of experience in analytics or data warehouse management
  • Four or more years of leadership experience
  • Experience with reporting delivery and design as well as modeling, visualization and data exploration tools
  • Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering or other quantitative field (e.g., management information services)
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Skills and Knowledge:

  • You are familiar with enterprise reporting tools such as SAP HANA, Big Data Platforms, AI Platforms, Qlikview, Spotfire and data science workbench
  • Understanding of SAP and open source BI and Analytics Stack (SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP Business Objects, SAP BPC, Hadoop, R, Python, etc.)
  • You understand BI and security architecture frameworks, technologies, techniques and processes (e.g. attribute, analytic and calculation views, etc.)
  • You manage BI services like a business in terms of cost, quality, schedules and client satisfaction
  • You constantly ask how we can make things more efficient with the power of advanced analytics, and collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
