Manager Digital Web Experience

Working closely with the Director of Digital User Experience Design and Delivery, this position leads and develops the Digital Web Experience team to deliver internal and external web strategies, governance, agile and iterative web enhancements, and multi stakeholder projects with high client satisfaction. This is a key influencing position providing strategic counsel on how business and communication objectives can be achieved online.

 

You will use your expertise to:
• Develop effective, integrated web strategies and a business case for Suncor branded websites and understand how to the use platforms to deliver web and business strategic goals
• Lead client engagement and consultation for all internal groups, and manage small development projects to large scale platform redevelopment (such as a site redesign); lead project management where required
• Lead end–to-end management of integrated projects and coordinate supporting functions (analytics, content, user experience, technical, third party agencies)
• Develop and improve workflow processes and participate in the development of an overall web governance framework for Suncor online properties while being a champion for operational excellence within the team
• Deliver web business cases and roadmaps and make recommendations to shift the strategy and improve functionality based on analysis of metrics while ensuring strict adherence to governance standards
• Work with business partners to understand strategic priorities and develop appropriate web content and features

 

We’d like to review your application if you have…
Must-haves (minimum requirements):
• Ten or more years of experience in a client-facing role, leading the management of enterprise websites and web experience
• Minimum of five years leading the evolution of dynamic websites or digital workplace/intranets with a large organization
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business studies, business administration, management, information technology, new media, or a related discipline
• Experience in defining web strategy with the ability to translate business/communications objectives into measurable on-line strategy and tactic; you are able to develop and execute web strategy to meet business needs
• Experience with establishing and reporting metrics to evolve and improve the effectiveness of on-line communication and knowledge of current web technology and on-line communication trends/best practices
• Demonstrated experience in managing digital workplace and internet development, leadingfront-end and back-end technical resources
• Excellent communication and project-management skills with “hands on” web management experience, and you effectively collaborate with and work well with all level of employees and partners
• Experience with human centred design, devops and agile practices
• Excellent prioritization skills and you can flawlessly execute on projects in a dynamic, often pressured environment

Preference for:
• Experience managing websites in a large, geographically dispersed, complex organization
• Working knowledge of a enterprise content management systems (Sitecore and SharePoint experience an asset)
• Knowledge of web accessibility, cyber security and information security and privacy related to enterprise websites an asset

 

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:
• You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
• Participate in after hours emergency on-call rotation and participation in IT incident resolution
