Sales Executive, Inside Sales

Are you passionate about building positive relationships and providing great customer service? Are you a self-starter who enjoys discovering sales opportunities? We have the role for you! Reporting to the Manager of Inside Sales, you will grow the Western Region SuperPass commercial fleet program through the Petro-Canada Retail and Wholesale channels by uncovering new sales opportunities and utilizing strategic sales capabilities to deliver sustainable growth and create a strong portfolio of accounts. 

You will use your expertise to:

  • Build new business opportunities to achieve SuperPass growth plans from various sources and secure new business
  • Ensure client fleet needs at both our cardlock (truck stop) and retail gas station network are met
  • Generate quality outbound leads and successful activation of inbound leads, with a disciplined approach to sales funnel management and shortened sales cycles
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals
  • Provide sales management and administrative support over a defined region
  • Execute SuperPass Online (SPOL) commercial card functionality demonstrations
  • Develop positive internal and external relationships by sharing ideas, fostering team building with diverse groups, and participating in the sales development process
  • Work collaboratively with the outside sales team and Marketer (distributor) network to drive sales growth

We’d like to review your application if you have…
Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • One to five years of experience in a sales role that requires meeting target, and fostering relationships over the phone or through email
  • A Bachelor’s degree (preference for background in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics)
  • Strong negotiating skills in order to influence decisions and close sales opportunities while building positive relationships and credibility
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities and non-authoritative leadership skills
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, act with integrity

Preference for:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and SAP

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • We require qualified and safety-focused employees for business-critical roles that maintain our commitment to operational excellence and reliable operations.
