Senior Advisor, Learning

Job Overview

Reporting to manager, competency based learning, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of our learning programs across the organization.

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish and manage strategies to delivery specialized learning services
  • Provide creative learning solutions and make program design recommendations for business units across the organization
  • Lead, design, develop and evaluate learning programs with considerable complexity and scope
  • Collaborate, partner with, and consult to clients, stakeholders and team members
  • Support the translation and communication of business strategies into tactical learning objectives
  • Act as a project manager for the development and implementation of learning interventions
  • Translate and effectively communicate business strategies into learning objectives ensuring alignment with all stakeholders is achieved
  • Support the business to develop the infrastructure to sustain the required learning process
  • Support the implementation and evaluation strategy of our learning solutions
  • Liaise with learning coordinators to map solutions and strategies in our learning management system (LMS)

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • 10+ years of experience in learning and/or adult education
  • Project management experience is strongly preferred
  • Formal adult education training or certification is strongly preferred
  • Post-secondary degree in an education related field preferred but will consider additional years of working experience in lieu
  • Demonstrated capability in delivering on projects varying in size from single business area to corporate wide

    Skills and Knowledge:

  • Advanced knowledge of project management methodology and learning fundamentals
  • Experience and knowledge in the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation (ADDIE) model and management of learning systems, curricula and processes to support learning lifecycle
  • You are able to influence without a direct line of authority
  • You are a self-driven, motivated individual that uses professional judgement to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close project work
  • You are able to collaborate across all levels within an organization and develop strong working relationships with team members, peers and client groups
  • Strong interpersonal business skills influencing clients, managing stakeholder expectations and networking
  • Ability to identify root causes of performance gaps through effective research and analysis and to develop well rounded learning solutions to close those gaps
