Senior Advisor Consumer Analytics

Our Customer Experience Insights team is responsible for representing customer data and customer voice in a wide range of strategic and tactical decisions.  Working with colleagues across Sales & Marketing, we’ll call on your expertise to support the future of our Petro-Points loyalty program, our convenience retailing, fuel and car wash business, email communications, offers, promotions and more.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Lead, execute, and coach on a range of complex analytics projects in support of high complexity loyalty and category management projects
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the organization to translate business objectives into appropriate, useable KPIs
  • Build data queries, dashboards, and performance scorecards for execution by analysts in other business areas
  • Conduct advanced data analytics, visualize data and create dashboards to provide key insights in support of 4.3M member Petro-Points loyalty program, a wide range of strategy initiatives and CRM tactics
  • Lead and steward customer experience (CX) insights and CRM email enablement, including responsibility for scheduling assignments, list segmentation, extracting email lists, quality control, and scorecarding for over 30 million guest email contacts annually

We’d like to review your application if you have…

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • 10 years of experience in data analytics
  • Five years of experience using SAS / SQL or similar business intelligence tools 
  • Experience using data visualization dashboards
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a technical degree with business experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in database analytics principles and practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency in translating complex analysis into well-structured and simple to understand presentations, visualizations, and recommendations
  • Adept skill at using statistical methodologies to investigate and surface high value, actionable insights to impact business results and guest experience
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preference for:

  • Experience with MS Power BI preferred, Tableau, DOMO
  • Data analytics experience with a focus on consumer behavior
  • Experience in email marketing and loyalty program strategy, tactics, and metrics

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • We require qualified and safety-focused employees for business-critical roles that maintain our commitment to operational excellence and reliable operations.
