Job Overview

Reporting to the team leader, enterprise information consulting, you will provide consultative services and guidance to business clients on how to access, use, find and manage information in alignment with enterprise information policies, standards, and specifications. You will investigate and resolve complex issues and requests, provide domain expertise to projects, coordinate initiatives to address non-compliance, and have in-depth knowledge of information management (IM) technologies and processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan and lead client-facing engagements for requirements gathering, issue resolution, gap closure and process improvement
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of information quality; interpret results and devise actions to remediate
  • Organize and facilitate meetings and working sessions; develop agendas, communicate objectives and drive actions
  • Conceptualize and document functional specifications so that technical teams understand requirements
  • Assess and analyze gaps in IM processes; develop and lead initiatives to prioritize and address them, including alignment of technology platforms to support
  • Ensure that information quality metrics are accurate and available to meet requirements
  • Uphold standards, guidelines and best practices for information management initiatives
  • Ensure that requisite stakeholders are informed of information governance initiatives, updates, and information quality results
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and remain current with existing, new and creative IM practices and technologies

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an information management role, or similar; ideally in a governance or business analyst role
  • Experience in a client-facing, consultative role to solve business problems
  • Prior work experience in a large, matrix-based organization working within an established and formalized information or data governance structure
  • University degree or diploma in information management, business, computer sciences, library sciences, or a related field;  High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • The following memberships or designations would be considered a plus: MIS, AIIM, ARMA, DAMA, PMP, CMC

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Expert in IM principles, processes, and governance frameworks, and how information and data is used and consumed by customers throughout its lifecycle
  • Deep understanding of taxonomy and metadata design practices, security modeling, information retention and disposition cycles
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies to support end-user adoption of solutions
  • Proven customer service and  business analysis skills with an understanding of information technology (IT) service delivery

Good communication skills; ability to collaborate, facilitate and present to senior leaders
