Key Accountabilities

  • Engage in a variety of projects with rail, terminal and/or trucking aspects
  • Work with business units to ensure successful delivery of product
  • Enter, manage, and analyze different types of data
  • Conduct quantitative research related to the project development process
  • Research, review, compile, and help write weekly/monthly/annual reports and presentations
  • Support with various rail improvement programs including crude-by-rail

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a formal co-op program in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of a bachelor of commerce or bachelor of business administration program at an accredited post-secondary institution, and returning to full-time studies after the work term
  • Preference for students majoring in business operations or general management
  • Attach your transcripts with your application and clearly indicate the length of work term for which you are available

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated computer application knowledge with advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and V-lookups)
  • Analytical skill and good attention to detail
  • You are an exceptionally motivated self-starter who is results oriented and driven by accuracy and continuous improvement mindset
  • You have a proven safety and environmental mindset
  • Possess a questioning attitude to surface problems: you constantly ask what could go wrong and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions and learn to anticipate potential problems

Working Conditions

  • This is an 8-month work term from January 2019 – August 2019
