Turnaround Logistics Coordinator

Working in our Commerce City refinery, where we produce 100,000 barrels-per-day and where we are the only petroleum refinery in the area (and one of the largest in the Rocky Mountain region), you will lead the coordination and execution of all turnaround and project infrastructure requirements. You will be responsible for identifying the needs of vendors and ensuring all stakeholders maintain high standards and processes during turnarounds and projects.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Develop and execute plans for all temporary facilities required for turnaround execution  including development of plot plans while taking into consideration siting surveys, personnel flow and work de-confliction
  • Lead interaction with all departments and turnaround contractors to develop support staff needs including blast resistant modules, IT equipment, office equipment, waste handling, etc.
  • Interface with site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) advisors to ensure compliance of all temporary facilities.
  • Coordinate vendor scopes of work and collaborate with supply chain operations to secure/schedule resources through the requisitioning process
  • Collaborate and build positive relationships with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in support of our day-to-day activities and future demand
  • Coordinate with primary rental vendor to supply all required general equipment while minimizing financial impact by utilizing the on-rent report
  • Communicate with outside contractors, vendor representatives and all levels our organization within the refinery

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Five years of experience in a planning or coordinating role
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • A deep understanding of coordination of logistics for projects
  • Knowledge of field coordination of vendor logistic/infrastructure
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • An understanding of the requisitioning/purchasing process requirements and are able to work with corporate Supply Chain Management (SCM) policies/procedures

Preference for:

  • Experience working as a coordinator in oil and gas, refinery, chemical or related industries
  • A self-starter who strives to maintain a positive mindset in challenging situations
  • A problem solver with proven analytical and decision making skills
  • Passionate about collaborating with diverse groups in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
  • Knowledgeable with a proven record of adhering to standards, policies and procedures

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Commerce City refinery, located at 5455 Brighton Blvd.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed, leading up to and into a turnaround event
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities, challenging demands, and strict deadlines
  • Time will be split equally between an office environment and field activity
