Transportation Analyst

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for the accurate and effective management of transactions at Suncor and third party terminals, data exchanges, and master data management in systems relating to fuel terminals.


You will use your expertise to:

  • Work collaboratively with the Truck Distribution Coordinator regarding day-to-day administration of the trucking systems shared request mailbox and hotline
  • Manage our terminal management system and Terminal Administration Billing System (TABS) with administrative level access to support our truck distribution activity in the United States
  • Interact daily with diverse groups of internal and external partners on items relating to new account set-ups, fuels configuration, supply allocation, and carrier access clearance
  • Collaborate and use your questioning attitude to resolve and coordinate activities related to bills of lading
  • Assist with the review and establishment of new carriers
  • Demonstrate your problem solving skills to manage requests and project queues to deliver timely results
  • Build strong positive relationships, working with carriers and business units to drive process improvement and adherence to procedures

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • One year of professional experience 
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Preference for:

  • Experience in technical IT, logistics and/or distribution
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics or equivalent education
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
  • Proficiency or familiarity with SAP, fuels terminal systems and database structures
  • Familiarity with the department of transportation (DOT) regulations
  • A self-starter with proven analytical skills who takes the initiative to trouble-shoot and solve problems as they arise
  • Strong communication skills which allow you to collaborate effectively with diverse groups in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
  • A strong attention to detail, a continuous improvement mindset, and you are well organized and do not tolerate shortcuts

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will alternate working out of our Denver Downtown Office, located at 717-17th Street and our Denver Refinery Business Center, located at 5455 Brighton Blvd. to balance priorities and work demands
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • You will share on-call responsibilities with the Truck Distribution Coordinator to maintain after hours support
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities, challenging demands, and strict deadlines SAP:IND
