Job Overview

Reporting to the team lead, warehouse, you will perform in-plant deliveries of various materials and chemicals, issue materials and perform shipping and receiving duties. You will carry out the duties safely, accurately and in a timely fashion to ensure all materials are recorded and ready for pick-up.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver chemicals, additives, lubricants, job materials and various supplies to designated areas onsite
  • Complete inventory cycle counts in all areas of the warehouses
  • Ensure the accurate and valid receipt of materials physically received during delivery
  • Manage the process of integrating the materials receipt into the inventory management system
  • Ensure all materials are properly labeled before being received into the system and respective storage locations
  • Ensure all materials received are visually inspected and directed to quality assurance testing when required
  • Pick and stage material accurately for authorization for expenditure and maintenance jobs
  • Act as the frontline contact between the warehouse and other business units
  • Ship all outgoing material from the refinery with proper documentation according to the transportation of dangerous goods requirements
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained in operating areas

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Three or more years of warehouse experience within a refinery
  • Experience operating material handling equipment such as a forklift is an asset
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Possess a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of material, equipment and chemicals used in a refinery 
  • Knowledge of the transportation of dangerous goods requirements for packaging, handling and all required documentation
  • SAP experience is preferred; knowledge of SAP applications to accurately process inventory transactions and access information is an asset
  • You collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
  • You hold others accountable, and expect others to do the same
