Job Overview

Reporting to the manager, mine production, you will facilitate the effective management of the mine entry program.  You will undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks and will assist in planning and organizing programs and activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Schedule, organize, and coordinate all aspects of the mine entry program
  • Maintain all files and documents for the mine entry requests and classes
  • Prepare sign in sheets and issue tier cards upon course completion
  • Maintain and order all tier card supplies
  • Perform daily database entries and maintenance in our online learning management system
  • Create monthly reports and maintain accurate records
  • Organize and execute monthly audits of the mine entry standard
  • Support growth and program development

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • Minimum two years of experience as a coordinator or similar role in a mining operations environment
  • Office administration or business diploma is an asset
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Possess a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of mining operations
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • You have outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • You collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value

Working Conditions

  • This is a camp-based position at the Fort Hills site
  • The shift schedule is a four days on/ three days off rotation
