Coordinator, Procurement

Job Overview

Reporting to the team leader, procurement, you will be responsible for supply chain management (SCM) operations including planning, scheduling, coordination and procurement. You will balance requests for materials and services, examine your business unit needs, and ensure fulfillment in accordance with our SCM operational model.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support end to end SCM processes, including scope of work development, sourcing, negotiating proposals, purchase order creation and lifecycle management, and contractor onboarding
  • Develop, manage, and execute a procurement plan in collaboration with business partners
  • Execute planned and ad hoc procurement of materials and services in alignment with SCM and maintenance reliability strategies
  • Support contractor performance management
  • Collaborate with suppliers, business unit representatives, warehouse, inventory, and category management teams
  • Act as the SCM representative to the business, and as the face of the business unit to other groups within supply chain
  • Maintain tracking tools and stewardship reporting

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum one year SCM experience
  • Experience using SAP, working with purchase orders and work orders is preferred
  • Experience procuring services is preferred
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of supply chain management processes
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to develop strategies and develop solutions for medium to high complexity activities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to form positive relationships
  • Proven organizational skills to balance priorities and manage tight timelines

Working Conditions

  • This position is based in Fort McMurray, Alberta on a Monday to Friday schedule
