Mechanical Maintenance Planner - Tailings

You will use your expertise to:

  • Prepare and maintain job plans to increase productivity through cost and scheduling of parts, materials, special tools, external services and documentation
  • Identify environmental, health and safety requirements and build plans accordingly
  • Generate job plans to include the logical sequencing of associated tasks, taking into account multi-craft alignment
  • Identify and communicate gaps that could lead to improved resource productivity

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • 5 years of planning experience in oil and gas or a similar industrial environment
  • 5 or more years of maintenance and reliability experience in fixed plant utilities or infrastructure
  • Intermediate level SAP planning experience
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
  • Deep understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling concepts as well as maintenance practices, performance measures, scheduling tools and techniques
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing
  • A continuous improvement mindset and are able to seek greater knowledge and understanding of the systems, process and hazards in the workplace
  • A zero-tolerance for shortcuts, and if the procedure is incorrect, you fix it

Preference for:

  • Oil Sands experience
  • A valid Alberta Journeyperson Certificate or an Interprovincial Red Seal Pipefitting, Millwright or Welding Certificate; attach your Journeyperson / Red Seal ticket with your application if applicable

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided; we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
