Process Automation Infrastructure Engineer

  • Maintain, monitor, and improve the security, reliability, and performance of the process control infrastructure assets
  • Integrate process control applications with business network infrastructure

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Five years of related experience in an industrial setting
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering

  • Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build solid, positive relationships with diverse groups
  • The ability to anticipate potential problems and use critical thinking skills to identify and eliminate the root causes
  • A continuous improvement mindset and are able to seek greater knowledge and understanding
  • A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record

Preference for advanced level skills and knowledge of:

  • Physical and virtual network operations, standards, and fundamental principles
  • Networks and complementary technologies such as Cisco Catalyst/Nexus and Cisco ASA/FirePower
  • Capacity and performance management tools such as VMware vCenter Operations and Solar Winds
  • Physical and virtual servers operation and maintenance (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Server & SQL)
  • Data management and protection software such as RepliWeb and Acronis

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Base Plant Operations in Fort McMurray, Alberta
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • This position is safety sensitive
  • If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided; we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
