You will use your expertise to:

  • Lead hiring leaders through the end-to-end recruitment process
  • Collaborate with hiring leaders and Human Resources strategic partners to fully understand the vacant role and the skillset required
  • Craft engaging job ads to attract the right talent for the role
  • Evaluate candidates’ qualifications in relation to the position requirements to figure out a successful match
  • Conduct behavioral-based interviews to assess candidates’ knowledge, skills, experience and aptitude against the corresponding vacancy
  • Utilize our tracking systems and other enabling technology to flawlessly execute a defined recruiting process effectively and efficiently
  • Build appropriate and accurate offer letters to support your clear articulation of our employee value proposition to prospective new hires
  • Ensure recruiting and hiring practices are in compliance with Provincial and Federal government regulations

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Five years of experience in recruitment, within a high-volume corporate environment
  • Experience supporting internal and/or external clients
  •  A post-secondary education, preferably in business administration or human resources
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • Oil and gas experience
  • CPHR designation
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills which allows you to build positive relationships with team members, hiring leaders, other HR colleagues and job seekers; strong collaborating skills: negotiating, influencing and selling
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook; experience working with an applicant tracking system
  • A keen sense of urgency, ability to handle multiple tasks, impeccable quality standards and attention to detail
  • The ability to set priorities in a dynamic work environment, meet deadlines; demonstrable ability to make strategic decisions, fast
  • The ability to recognize obstacles and seek solutions with a demonstrable ability to take initiative

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Stoney Creek Village office in Fort McMurray
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
