Do you have a passion for solving problems and making decisions in a mine engineering setting? Are you looking to leverage your mine equipment maintenance knowledge to enhance reliability? If so, we’d like to hear from you! We are recruiting a key member of the reliability engineering team to support our mine mobile equipment fleets.
You will use your expertise to:
- Assess the effectiveness of existing asset maintenance strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Capture and analyze performance trends and provide recommendations for improvement
- Own and manage the technical resolution and mitigation plans of mine mobile equipment bad actors
- Develop and implement lifecycle plans for mobile equipment to sustain asset management and long-term strategies
- Use root cause analysis methods for asset and process defect elimination
- Review fleet key performance indicators, highlighting opportunities and challenges
- Assist in regulatory compliance on roll-over protection structures, pressure vessels, stands, and other assets
- Steward cross-boundary relationships with maintenance and operation teams

Must-haves (minimum requirements):
- Eight years of engineering experience in mine mobile equipment maintenance and reliability
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering
- Been registered, or are eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
- A working knowledge of SAP, with strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and Powerpoint)
- A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record

Preference for:
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational and communication skills
- The ability to consistently meet deadlines both in a team and independently
- The ability to handle multiple priorities and challenging demands
Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:
- You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
- The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation (12-hour shifts)
- This position is safety sensitive
- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided; we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
