Are you passionate about working with a team of engineers to ensure plant functions remain safe, sustainable, and cost effective? We are hiring a Static Reliability Engineer at our Fort McMurray location.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Craft reliability centred inspection and maintenance plans for critical equipment
  • Provide leadership, by acting as an example, to promote a culture of safety
  • Fix equipment in complex systems
  • Take initiative and manage the assessment of emerging and ongoing risks and provide effective mitigation strategies
  • Inspect work at external fabrication and repair shops when required
  • Participate in risk reviews to ensure consistency with standards
  • Provide solutions for bad actor resolution
  • Build risk assessments and recommend short term solutions and long term plans for mitigation and control
  • Ensure that all work scopes and engineered solutions can be implemented safely and will perform in a safe manner
  • Identify and optimize plant availability, reliability and market competitiveness

We’d like to review your application if you have…

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • More than two years’ experience in the oil and gas industry
  • American Petroleum Institute (API) inspection and repair experience
  • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering
  • P.Eng. status or eligibility in the province of Alberta
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of API standards and guidelines
  • You collaborate in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
  • You constantly ask what could go wrong and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions and learn to anticipate potential problems
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • Fixed plant based maintenance and reliability experience
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office; SAP and Business Warehouse knowledge

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
  • This position is 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday
  • This position has been identified as safety sensitive
  • Frequent field work is required
  • If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory
  • Relocation support will be provided; we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible candidates
