LOCATION: Grand Junction, Colorado (US-CO)

Job Overview

Reporting to the terminal supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Grand Junction rail products terminal and the Fruita asphalt storage terminal assets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Efficient receipt, storage, handling and loading of refined products in a dynamic 7/24/365 operating environment
  • Site maintenance, operations and receipt by railcar and/or truck of light oil, ethanol, biodiesel and additives
  • Assist the terminal technicians with completion of approved projects for the Grand Junction and Fruita terminals

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • Three+ years Industrial experience, oil refinery/oil sands experience is an asset
  • Mechanical and/or electrical experience in trouble shooting and repairs
  •  High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Possess a valid driver’s licence with a driving record acceptable to Suncor

Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated initiative – introduce efficiencies while keeping day to day operations going
  • Strong computer skills. Experience in SAP is an asset
  • Problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focused mind-set

Working Conditions

  • This is a safety sensitive position
  • This is an all-weather facility and outdoor inspections are required on a regular basis
  • Monday to Friday shift with a five week on call rotation schedule
  • You will be required to perform some heavy lifting (~50 lbs.), use of ladders and working on elevated work sites in all weather conditions
