Crude Oil Scheduler

You will use your expertise to:

  • Integrate operating plans from third party pipelines and terminal operators, complete nomination procedures and track crude movements during the delivery period
  • Track crude oil batches using the various systems provided by third party pipeline companies
  • Build a comprehensive delivery schedule for our Cushing tankage and communicate to key partners
  • Complete in-line trades to effectively manage crude oil receipt and delivery
  • Liaise with pipelines and third parties to co-ordinate effective crude oil deliveries and blending of crude
  • Complete, manage and update deliveries in our deal capture system and perform monthly crude quality tracking
  • Confirm crude oil purchase, sales volumes and locations with counterparties
  • Liaise with other internal schedulers and traders to coordinate movements of our Canadian equity production and other U.S. domestic crude movements
  • Interact with our back office to positively manage the settlements process with third parties

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Two years of crude oil or refined products scheduling experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or economics
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
  • A collaboration mindset and strong interpersonal skills, which enables you to easily build positive relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work well without supervision
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • Refinery planning and/or operations experience
  • Scheduling experience within Cushing

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Houston office, located at 2 Allen Centre, 1200 Smith St.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, however because of the nature of your work you are expected to be available 24/7
