Business Operations Student

Supporting our Petro-Canada business you will work with our operations team to support our loyalty card program.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Emboss, encode, and affix of all our prepaid, preferred price and car wash cards, and SuperPass cards
  • Ship all SuperPass, card program replacement cards, including fulfillment and courier requests
  • Run daily inventory sheets
  • Ensure stock levels for all in-house plastics and carriers are above critical level at all times and work with the Lead Embosser to reorder plastics and carriers
  • Conduct physical inventory cycle counts – plastics, carriers, envelopes
  • Manage shipping and packing materials – inventory and reorders
  • Receive inventory and supply orders and manage in house storage space
  • Assist the Lead Embosser with testing card data files
  • Perform basic graphic design and logo placement for custom cards

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Current enrolment in a formal Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration co-op program at an accredited post-secondary institution, and returning to full-time studies after the work term
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • Undergraduate degree major in Operations Management
  • Previous industry experience
  • A motivated, self-starter who can work well both independently and within a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as good time management skills, with the ability to multi-task effectively

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Downstream head office in Mississauga, located at 2489 North Sheridan Way
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday

This position requires you to use Personal Protective Equipment – noise cancelling headsets and steel toe boots
