Finance and Planning Analyst

Do you have strong reporting and analytical skills that you can use to support our Downstream operations and logistics organization – a service group established to provide logistics support to product supply, rack forward retail and wholesale groups? In this role, you will provide financial analysis, stewardship reporting and planning services.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Support the forecasting, budgeting and business planning deliverables
  • Support the improvement in performance reporting and planning processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in developing short-term and long-term financial and operational targets
  • Craft freight accruals, allocations and reclassifications for month-end close purposes
  • Participate in various projects, providing performance reporting, analytics and insights
  • Identify and work with the business on continuous improvement, ad-hoc initiatives and non-routine requests for financial information and analysis

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Three to five years of experience in a finance and planning role
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business or economics or an equivalent education or related field
  • A financial designation or working towards completion of your CPA, CFA, and/or MBA
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong communication and social skills with the ability to build positive relationships
  • A solid understanding and comfort with basic financial and accounting principles
  • Proven analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to communicate complex information into meaningful insights

Preference for:

  • Experience with and a deep understanding of SAP fundamentals
  • The ability to collaborate with our key partners in finding ways to improve processes and to deliver the most value

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Downstream head office in Mississauga, located at 2489 North Sheridan Way
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
