Supply Analyst

Why you should join us:

Do you have strong reporting and analytical skills that you can use to support our Downstream Supply Accounting group? You will provide supply transactions (purchases, sales and exchanges) and preparation and analysis of monthly results. SAP:IND

You will use your expertise to:

  • Ensure that all supply transactions are accurately recorded on a timely basis in compliance with company policies
  • Complete contract reconciliations and co-ordinate and lead in the investigation and correction of supply imbalance adjustments
  • Ensure that all new supply agreements contracts and related master data (materials and pricing) are properly set up in the inventory module to complete month end financial close off
  • Act as a liaison with internal and external auditors and the tax department with  Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and supply issues
  • Participate in an expert capacity in process improvement opportunities by working independently and collaborating with team members
  • Manage the Supply team’s monthly accruals of various costs and performance plant inventory analysis
  • Provide accounting support to Marine and Refinery Sales teams and create the month end analysis for Refinery Sales
  • Support ad hoc project(s) and provide backup

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Three years of proven inventory accounting and analytical experience
  • An undergraduate business degree in accounting or finance
  • Completion of a CPA
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills including advanced Excel skills (macros, V-Lookups)
  • A high degree of accuracy, detail-oriented and proven both macro and micro analytical skills
  • Decisive, independent thinking skills and self-starter; ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced environment
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic team-based environment to deliver critical results with a very tight deadline
  • A positive attitude,  continuous improvement mindset, ability to take initiative and work in a collaborative manner
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • Experience in a refinery or supply function
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Proactive with a proven non-authoritative leadership style and ability to influence, persuade and facilitate change
  • Accomplished competency to lead challenging priorities, demonstrating superior organization and project management skills
  • A demonstrated continuous improvement mindset

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Downstream head office in Mississauga, located at 2489 North Sheridan Way
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
