Are you looking to become a key contributor within a dynamic team? Are you self-motivated and eager to take your career to the next level? If yes, we have the role for you! You will be responsible for the accurate and timely development of integrated schedules and execution performance for all turnaround and capital related projects.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Develop turnaround schedules using SAP and Primavera software
  • Maintain project schedules for various projects and turnarounds
  • Utilize previous experience and formal training to ensure best practice applications are considered
  • Provide support for Senior Planners
  • Provide project cost estimates and cost analysis
  • Responsible for providing project management support activities in managing resources
  • Develop and implement assurance programs
  • Oversee analysis of data and information
  • Interfaces with Operations and subcontractors to discuss impact of work and resolutions
  • Consults the appropriate Construction and Turnaround team members for estimating procedures

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Five years’ experience in planning and scheduling in the Oil & Gas industry or related Industry with practical hands on field experience
  • A Journeyman and/or a Trade ticket in a relevant field
  • In depth understanding of maintenance work processes and principals
  • In depth experience using SAP and Primavera 
  • Strong knowledge of MS Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in planning, budgeting and estimating
  • Proven advanced non-authoritative leadership skills to influence and manage diverse groups
  • Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities
  • Alignment with our values: safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrity

Preference for:

  • A post-secondary education 
  • A highly motivated individual with continuous improvement mindset, strong analytical skills and decision-making capacity

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Sarnia refinery in Ontario, located at 1900 St. Clair Parkway
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs, such as turnarounds and capital projects.
  • Relocation support will be provided
