Coordinator, Surface Land Administration

Job Overview

Reporting to the team lead, surface administration, you will be responsible for providing land administration support for the execution of day-to-day operations and new growth projects in a timely, effective and safe manner. Working in our Sherwood Park pipeline office, these responsibilities will include providing direct land support for the pipelines and Edmonton refinery sites. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Administration of third party agreements (road use, crossings, proximity, seismic, temporary workspace and notifications)
  • Preparation, administration and maintenance of surface land files including file creation, data input, document scanning/storage and title searches/land status reports
  • Participate in weekly meetings with key stakeholder teams (i.e. engineering or environment, health and safety) for updates to projects, clarification of requirements, process management and problem resolution
  • Participate in cross training initiatives within the team and provide coverage during absences as required 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Alberta regulations specific to surface land
  • Positive representation of Suncor and its values to internal and external clients

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • Five or more years of land administration experience
  • Post-secondary education in surface land or regulatory, preferred (diploma or university degree)
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, communication skills and a strong results-oriented approach
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, Adobe Pro, Livelink and knowledge of QBLM an asset
  • High level of integrity and customer service skills to all levels in the organization
  • Flexibility and the ability to accommodate multiple requests and priorities from key stakeholders in a diplomatic manner
  • You do not take or tolerate shortcuts and if the procedure is incorrect, you fix it
  • You constantly ask what could go wrong and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions and learn to anticipate potential problems

Working Conditions

  • This position is a Monday – Friday schedule, based at the Sherwood Park Pipeline Office.
  • Deadlines, accuracy and quality requirements are priority in your work
