Production Operator

You will use your expertise to:

  • Start-up/shutdown and operate/adjustment plant process and vessel utility systems within safe operating limits, established procedures and regulations
  • Monitor and record plant and equipment conditions, and escalate deviations or malfunctions to help minimize downtime and achieve production targets
  • Prepare and isolate plant equipment for maintenance in accordance with safe work practices
  • Perform maintenance and inspection routines, within designated limits of competence, on equipment/systems to ensure reliable operations
  • Test product quality of various streams, which include injection water, produced water, injection gas, and potable and boiler feed water
  • Report all incidents, near misses and hazardous conditions
  • Maintain competency as outlined in our learning management system
  • Monitor and ensure a high standard of housekeeping in your work area, which includes protecting the environment as best as possible at all times
  • Participate as a member of our offshore emergency response team as required

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Three or more years of related process and/or marine experience within the oil and gas industry
  • Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems and quality processes
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Knowledge of process separation, gas compression, marine/vessel, utility and power generation systems, and permit to work processes
  • A very strong ability to collaborate with others in a diverse work environment in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • Cross-functional FPSO experience
  • Technologist or industry-recognized certification (process operations, marine, mechanical, power engineer/stationary engineer, or equivalent)

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • The shift schedule is a 21 days on/ 21 days off rotation (12-hour shifts) in an offshore environment on a floating facility
  • This position has been identified as safety sensitive
  • Consistent with the Accords Act, qualified residents of Newfoundland and Labrador will be given first consideration in the staffing of this position
